Stichting Rugpoli has reached an agreement with all the insurance companies for basic covered care. This means that these treatments are fully covered by your health care insurer. However you will require a GP referral for your treatment. Pain injections for aspecific back problems will not always be covered in the basic insurance policy (which means they won’t be covered at other pain clinics either). Prior to any treatment we will inform you about the precise coverage your treatment entails.

Musculoskeletal treatments, including medical assessments, are not covered by the basic insurance policy, but partially covered by an aditional insurance. You will be covered for alternative medicine practices, as outlined in your personal additional insurance policy. You will have to partially or fully pay for these costs yourself. For further information please contact the Rugpoli administration (please have your insurance policy ready).

Full basic insurance coverage:

• Neurological and reumatological consultation, possibly augmented with an MRI
• Injection treatments (with the exception of aspecific back problems)
• Headache treatments

Additional insurance coverage (alternative medicine)

Some of our treatments are not covered by basic insurance, but maybe partially reimbursed from your additional insurance. You will receive reimbursement as described in the policy conditions of your additional insurance. You may find the conditions under ‘beweegzorg, ‘alternatieve geneeswijze’, or ‘orthomanipulatie’. If you do not have an additional insurance, the costs of the other treatments are at your own expense.

The costs for an initial consultation with the doctor are € 125.00. If an appointment with the MSK consultant is also scheduled on the same day, the costs are € 225.00. Follow-up consultations cost € 100.00.

Please note: From June 1st, 2025, an initial consultation with the doctor will cost € 130.00. If an appointment with the MSK consultant is also scheduled on the same day, the costs will be € 235.00.
Follow-up consultations will cost € 105.00.
