De arts noteert gestructureerd uw klachten en stelt aanvullende vragen. U wordt gevraagd om voorafgaand aan uw eerste afspraak een vragenformulier in te vullen over uw medische gezondheid (inclusief medicijngebruik).<\/p>\n<h3>Lichamelijk onderzoek<\/h3>\n<p>In het reumatologische onderzoek worden gewrichten en pezen onderzocht op o.a. functie, drukpijn en zwelling (artritis = gewrichtsontsteking). aarnaast kijkt de reumatoloog ook naar de huid, nagels en ogen en zonodig doet hij ook internistisch onderzoek (hart, longen, buik). Door het onderzoek kan de arts een zo compleet mogelijk beeld krijgen van de klachten en onderliggende oorzaken. De arts noteert dit ook in het dossier.<\/p>\n<p>Er zijn vele soorten reuma zoals reumatoide artritis, ziekte van Bechterew, artritis psoriatica, spierreuma, artrose (slijtage van heupen, knie\u00ebn, handen), jicht, peesschedeontstekingen, bijzondere bindweefselontstekingen, tenniselleboog. The medical practitioner takes detailed notes about your symptoms and their history. It may be that your medical practitioner asks you to complete a questionnaire prior to your first appointment, about your general medical health (including medication intake).<\\\/p>\\n\n\n<h3>Physical examination<\\\/h3>\\n\n\n<p>During the rheumatological examination joints and tendons are investigated regarding function, pressure pain and swelling (arthritis = joint inflammation). The rheumatologist also examines the skin, nails and eyes and if needed internistic examination (heart, longs, abdomen). The examination allows the doctor to get as complete a picture as possible of the complaints and underlying causes and will document this in your medical dossier.<\\\/p>\\n\n\n<p>There are many typs of rheumatism, such as reumatoid arthritis, Bechterew's disease, psoriatic arthritis, muscular rheumatism, athrotis (wear and tear of hips, knees, hands), gout, tendinitis, connective tissue inflammation, and tennis elbow.
