Sports medical examination and advice

A sports medical examination can identify possible health risks and provides you with advice on choice of sports and improvement of fitness. This examination is suitable for novice athletes to experienced athletes, but als for people with a chronic condition. Sport and exercise are part of a healthy lifestyle and in the event of illness it can support recovery. Our sports doctor can support you with this.

For whom?

A sports medical examination can be recommended by an education program, competition or an event in which you want to participate. For CIOS, the course 'Sport & Bewegen and the VeVa education a sports medical examination is mandatory. Also organizations who organize cycling events abroad (such as cyclosportive La Marmotte or Alpe d'Huzes) can ask for proof of your sports medical examination.

You can also have a sports medical examination when you want to know how your condition is compared to people from the same age group or if you want to know your training zones and want to know how you can perform sports in a safe way. A sports medical examination is also recommended for athletes who notice that their condition has deteriorated or that they recover more slowly after exercise.

There are also customized examinations for a variety of course or events, such as sports college, circus education, dance education, car or motor sports license, glider inspections (not LAPL), parachute / paraglide inspection, inspections for participation in various events at home and abroad (for example Maratona de Dolomites).

After the sports medical examination

At the end of the sports medical examination the sports doctor wil confer the results and will provide adequate advice regarding your health and sports ambitions. Within a few day after your examination you will receive the examination report by postin which you can read the results and the advice again.
